Riyal Price ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the Extension collects, how it is used, and your rights.
1. Data Collection
The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:
- No browsing history — The Extension does not read, log, or transmit your browsing activity.
- No user accounts — There is no login, no registration, and no profile.
- No cookies — The Extension does not set, read, or modify cookies.
- No forms or inputs — The content script never reads form fields, passwords, or user input.
- No analytics or trackers — No third-party analytics, tracking scripts, or beacons are included.
2. What the Extension Does Access
- Page text content — The content script scans visible text nodes on shopping pages solely to detect price strings (e.g., "$19.99"). This is done entirely client-side; no text is sent anywhere.
- Exchange rate API — The background script makes a single HTTPS request to
open.er-api.com every 6 hours to fetch USD exchange rates. No identifying information is included in this request.
- Chrome storage — Exchange rates and user preferences (e.g., SAR/AED toggle, VAT enabled/disabled) are stored locally via
chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your device.
In plain language: The Extension looks for prices on the page, converts them, and shows you the result. That is all it does.
3. Data Sharing
The Extension does not share any data with third parties. There are no servers, no APIs (other than the public exchange rate endpoint), and no data brokers involved.
4. Third-Party Services
The only external service is open.er-api.com, a free public exchange rate API. Its privacy policy can be viewed at their website. The Extension sends no user-identifying headers or parameters.
5. Data Retention
Exchange rates are cached locally for 6 hours and then replaced on the next successful fetch. User preferences persist until changed or until the Extension is uninstalled. No data is retained on any server.
6. Children's Privacy
The Extension does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction).
7. Changes to This Policy
If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance.

١. جمع البيانات
الإضافة لا تجمع أو تخزن أو ترسل أي بيانات شخصية. على وجه التحديد:

٢. ما الذي تصل إليه الإضافة
- نص الصفحة — يفحص السكريبت النصوص المرئية في صفحات التسوق فقط لكشف الأسعار (مثل "$19.99"). يتم ذلك بالكامل على جهازك؛ لا يُرسل أي نص إلى أي مكان.
- واجهة أسعار الصرف — يرسل السكريبت الخلفي طلب HTTPS واحد إلى
open.er-api.com كل ٦ ساعات لجلب أسعار صرف الدولار. لا تُرسل أي معلومات تعريفية.
- تخزين كروم المحلي — تُخزَّن أسعار الصرف وتفضيلات المستخدم محلياً عبر
chrome.storage.local. لا تغادر هذه البيانات جهازك أبداً.
بلغة بسيطة: الإضافة تبحث عن الأسعار في الصفحة، تحوّلها، وتظهر لك النتيجة. هذا كل ما تفعله.
٣. مشاركة البيانات
الإضافة لا تشارك أي بيانات مع أطراف ثالثة. لا توجد خواديم أو واجهات برمجية (بخلاف واجهة أسعار الصرف العامة) أو وسطاء بيانات.
٤. خدمات الطرف الثالث
الخدمة الخارجية الوحيدة هي open.er-api.com، وهي واجهة أسعار صرف عامة مجانية. يمكن الاطلاع على سياسة الخصوصية الخاصة بها على موقعها. الإضافة لا ترسل أي رؤوس أو معلمات تعريفية.
٥. الاحتفاظ بالبيانات
تُخزَّن أسعار الصرف محلياً لمدة ٦ ساعات ثم تُستبدل عند الجلب التالي. تبقى تفضيلات المستخدم حتى تغييرها أو إلغاء تثبيت الإضافة. لا تُحتفظ بأي بيانات على أي خادوم.
٦. خصوصية الأطفال
الإضافة لا تجمع عن قصد بيانات من أطفال دون سن ١٣ عاماً (أو سن الموافقة المعمول به في منطقتك).
٧. تغييرات هذه السياسة
إذا تم تحديث هذه السياسة، سيتم مراجعة تاريخ "آخر تحديث" في الأعلى. استمرار استخدام الإضافة بعد التغييرات يشكل قبولاً.
