Calculator Chrome Extension  ·  Last updated: May 28, 2026

This extension collects no personal data and makes no network requests. Everything stays on your device.

This policy explains how the Calculator Chrome extension handles your data. The short version: it doesn't collect any.

The extension does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data, usage statistics, or analytics. No data is ever sent to any server.

The extension stores a small amount of data locally on your device using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API:

  • Session state — the current expression, result, and calculator mode (basic / scientific)
  • Preferences — your chosen theme, language, and numeral system
  • Calculation history — the last 20 calculations you performed

This data never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data or uninstalling the extension permanently removes it.

The extension requests the clipboardWrite permission solely to let you copy calculation results with the Copy button. This action is triggered only when you explicitly click it — never automatically.

The extension does not use any third-party services, analytics tools, advertising networks, or external servers. It operates entirely offline.

If this policy is updated, the Last updated date at the top will change. Continued use of the extension after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Questions about this privacy policy? Please open an issue on the extension's GitHub repository and we'll get back to you.
